Dartmouth Heath reimburses employees for qualifying education-related expenses. In addition, we have partnered with several institutions to provide discounts for academic advancement.*

Tuition reimbursement
Dartmouth Health provides tuition reimbursement for all benefits-eligible non-physician employees who are enrolled in a certificate or degree-granting program provided at an accredited college or university.
Current employees can learn more about tuition reimbursement, discounts, loan repayment and scholarships in their member organization's tuition reimbursement policy by requesting more information from their direct supervisor or via one of the contact emails below.

Scholarships
Rural Health Careers scholarships
Dartmouth Health employees are eligible for scholarship funding from the Rural Health Careers Grant Program to advance their career through education, training, and new credentials. The Rural Health Careers Grant Program is 100% funded through a $2.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration.

Mary L. Botter Fund for Education
For Southwestern Vermont Medical Center employees, the Mary L. Botter Fund for Education awards financial assistance to those pursuing higher education in a health or human services field, including but not limited to nursing, nursing assistant, radiologic technology, medical technician, counseling, psychology, social services, and sociology programs. Scholarships for nurses and aspiring nurses
A variety of scholarships in support of the nursing profession are available to Dartmouth Health employees! Learn more about the scholarships available to you:

- Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics employees can learn more by visiting the Tuition Reimbursement, Discounts, Loan Repayment & Scholarships page on the intranet. Note: You must be connected to the Dartmouth Health network to access the intranet.
- Southwestern Vermont Medical Center employees have access to the following scholarship programs:
- The Helen Dixon Kunzelmann Nurse Scholar Program awards financial assistance to those pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing, a master’s degree in nursing, or a post-graduate degree. Awards are full or partial scholarships to cover tuition and related educational expenses including fees. Awards require continued employment at SVMC for a period of two years post-graduation.
- The Margaret M. Rehm Nursing Scholarship Program: Awards full or partial tuition grants for SVMC nurses pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing or higher degree in nursing.
