At Cheshire Medical Center

At Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics

These opportunities allow learners to explore potential career paths, engage in clinical experiences directly related to their area of study, and expand on their learning through practical work experience.

  • Practicum experiences: These are hands-on opportunities for students to earn credit, supplement their formal education, and develop technical and professional skills associated with their course of study. These opportunities are typically arranged by a school or program coordinator as a formal part of the student’s educational requirements. Practicum experiences are unpaid in exchange for the greater learning benefit to the student.
  • Unpaid, non-credit-bearing experiences: Designed for undergraduate or graduate level students, these opportunities include unpaid internship and research experiences that complement a student’s education and allows them to gain practical work experience. This work is performed for learning purposes only.
