  • LNA Training Program: Looking to start your nursing career? Dartmouth Health’s Workforce Readiness Institute (DHWRI) offers a paid LNA Training Program in partnership with River Valley Community College or LNA Health Careers.
  • Colby-Sawyer College Partnership for RN, BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing), MSN (Master of Science in Nursing), and DNP: Colby-Sawyer College is Dartmouth Health's nursing school. The two organizations have a long history of supporting each other to meet the needs of the community by developing nurses and advancing the nursing profession.

  • LPN Training Program at River Valley Community College: The licensed practical nurse (LPN) role is continuing to grow as an essential part of the care teams within the inpatient and clinical settings across the organization! Through a partnership with River Valley Community College, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC), and Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics (DHC), employees may be eligible to receive additional support toward this 1-year LPN certification program. This is a great step towards becoming a Registered Nurse as successful students can apply for the second-year bridge program (LPN-RN) to complete their Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) making them eligible for the NCLEX after just 6 semesters!   • LPN to Associate of Science in Nursing at Vermont State University: DHMC and DHC LPNs can earn their Associate of Science in Nursing through an Advanced Career Training (ACT) program in partnership with Vermont State University (VTSU). To support the balance of school and work schedules, employees in this cohort attend class on Wednesdays at the White River Junction, Vermont, campus and clinical training takes place on Saturdays at DHMC. Participating employees receive paid learning time up to one shift per week at their base pay rate.   • Nursing Pathway Program: The Nursing Pathway Program (NPP) is designed to offer entry-level healthcare workers the opportunity to earn professional nursing licensure while earning a salary and benefits. Successful candidates can achieve Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in as few as 3 years, depending upon prior experience and education. At Southwestern Vermont Medical Center

  • Registered Nurse Pathway Program: Through partnerships with Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC), Community College of Vermont (CCV), and VTSU, this program provides an opportunity for successful applicants to maintain employment at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) while studying to complete their Associate of Science in Nursing degree. Upon completion of this 3-year apprenticeship, participants will be eligible to take NCLEX-RN and apply for RN licensure.
