We are committed to the support, development, and promotion of APPs.

We recognize the significant contributions advanced practice providers (APPs) make to clinical care, education, research, quality and safety improvement, and patient satisfaction on a daily basis. We are committed to the support, development, and promotion of APPs by providing career counseling, shadow opportunities, clinical placements, and preceptorships to students enrolled in one of our many affiliated advanced practice registered nurse and physician assistant school programs.

  • Career and education counseling for current employees: Speak with a career counselor to discuss the next steps in advancing your career as an APP.
  • Shadow opportunities: Our team is happy to assist current employees find observation opportunities, particularly when needed as application requirements for admission to an educational program.
  • Clinical placement, preceptorships, and practicums: Dartmouth Health offers clinical rotation in multiple disciplines across the healthcare system for the following types of students *:
    • APRN/ARNP (advanced registered nurse practitioner)
    • PA (physician assistant)
    • SRNA (state registered nurse aids)
    • MSN (Master of Science in Nursing)
    • DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice)

* At this time, we are only accepting students from currently affiliated schools or programs for clinical placement, preceptorships, and practicums. Dartmouth Health employees are prioritized when making placement decisions.
