We are excited to grow the extraordinary group of committed caregivers here and we look forward to working together to benefit our region.

Dartmouth Cancer Center celebrated the expansion to its radiation/oncology unit at Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics Manchester with a beam-raising ceremony last week, expanding access to comprehensive cancer care in southern New Hampshire from the state’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. The expansion coincides with Dartmouth Cancer Center’s clinical and hematology/oncology infusion services in Manchester moving to the clinic from the Notre Dame Pavilion at CMC, giving patients greater access and efficiency in their care and treatment.

The expansion project is headed by Winchester, MA-based Wise Construction. Speakers at the ceremony included Steven D. Leach, director of Dartmouth Cancer Center; Pamela M. Hofley, MD, medical director of Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics Manchester; Charles R. Thomas Jr., chair of radiation oncology and applied sciences at Dartmouth Cancer Center; Bassem I. Zaki, MD, a radiation oncologist at Dartmouth Cancer Center; and Deborah F. Scribner, MBA, vice president of oncology services for Dartmouth Cancer Center.

“The co-location of cancer services on the Manchester campus and the introduction of radiation oncology services in the southern region will enable us to deliver more coordinated care for our patients throughout the greater Manchester, Concord and Nashua communities,” Hofley said. “We are excited to grow the extraordinary group of committed caregivers here and we look forward to working together to benefit our region.”
